For the past four years, we have seen how Six Sigma and Lean can be part of our everyday work.  People are now looking at the world around them differently, through a new lens.  The language that our employees use to describe problems has a different vocabulary: “look here…I see a Green Belt project,” “Let’s put a Black Belt to find a root cause to this problem, “…does the data support that conclusion…,” etc.  This is a reflection of all team members, champions, and belts truly working together to one common goal: Operational Excellence.

Starting with this fiscal year, we are going from deployment mode of Six Sigma to operational; that is, we will include Six Sigma and Lean on our everyday jobs as a matter of our normal working conditions. The results so far indicate that we have started to embrace Six Sigma in our daily jobs and we are positioning ourselves for another successful year.

Below are the Tyco Electrical & Metal Products Six Sigma “Pen” Newsletter Issues. The Six Sigma Pen covers current and past projects, describes Six Sigma theory, leverages project successes, and highlights team members.
